Fishermen need to quit trying to fight the constant small battles in front of them with neverending small seasonal closures or species related closures. Noaa's agenda is to have it all closed down and the battle we need to be fighting is to get these assholes fired. They are paid with our tax money to take care of our fisheries as in our best interest and they have clearly demonstrated that they could not give a shit about what is best for us. This is what happens when we have environmentalist whackos in power.

I have said it for years... Used to get laughed at but now it might sink home. NOAA is on its ass financially. NMFS is a wasteful burden on their already stretched budgets.
NMFS was designed really to regulate commercial interests. Under the guidance of their former whore dictator Hogarth, they euserped power over the recs. No votes by "we the people" . Back door bullshit and acts written in by themself to just "give" them power. A power that I don't recognize as legit. A power that has in fact been challenged by the state of Florida and pushed a few times right out of our waters. In almost all cases fed law trumps state however when the fed agency and scope of their jurisdiction exceeds its bounds. Changing a law is much harder than writing one. Easier than anyone would think though is shutting an entire agency down and if we as a whole made a concerted effort that direction we could get that done. A record of utter failure, coupled with the financial drain, pressed by 60 million rec fishermen makes for a compelling argument. At the very least it would get them out of our collective face once and for all. |

the master plan
jane lubchenco the head of noaa is the mastermind behind shuting down many areas in the pacific....in particular the north pacific (that's where she got here claim to fame and built up her brass) this caught the eye of pres. obama. in 1997 she briefed former pres. clienton and vice pres gore. she also served on pew oceans commision. she also co founded 3 environmental org. 1. the lepold program,2. compass, 3 climate central. she taught at harvard 1975-1977 then oregon state 1977-2009. jane lubchenco is also on facebook. i advise we become her friend and tell her how we really feel she if she defriends us or what her response will be.
one things for sure she is not on are side nor does she care about the boating and fishing community. she's smart and has a serious agenda. we have to let are voices be hear go to meeting raise hell let are voice be heard we tax payers pay for her salary and all at noaa. it is there duty to serve all the taxes payers. if we do not we may lose many more jobs and freedom and a great american past time. hunting and guns will prob. be next ...messing w. are constitution rights! the goverment only listens when we speak up and show are present. most of the time when they pass fish management laws they (noaa) never change there decision to reopen etc. please let's get in the game and fight it can only help. |
