My response was complete sarcasm.....Is the original poster of this thread serious or just making fun like the rest of us? Getting slapped in the forearm with a tail may hurt, but it is not Graphic by any means. Deep, that chunk in your arm is a nice battle scar, It looks like a self taken photo as well...are you just a pain junkie? LOL
He actually got hit in the face too. It was the first shark he had ever wired andd it scared the crap out of him!!

getting hit in the face with a shark tail might as well be a baseball bat if it swung it with some force. I am sure that did not feel to pretty. I relate it too a 100lb bluefin slamming it tail against the deck and your bare foot getting between the two. That happened to me one too many times before I only wore deck boots!
It was a nice size blue shark 242#s we weighed in the tournament a few years ago. Somebody might remember this one that happend a few years ago in OC. I can't remember who it happend to. One of the mates had just gaffed a big bluefin near the tail and when he pulled it over the gunnal he fell backward and the gaff handle was beating him in the nads!! The bluefin hit the handle on the tuna door and the fish and gaff went back to the deep blue and all the mate could do was lay in the pit holding his jewels!!
