    837 lb Blue Marlin on a FIN-NOR 80 with 130lb test monofilament

    837 lb Black Marlin on a FIN NOR 80 with 130lb test monofilament

    600 lb Swordfish on a FIN NOR 80 with 130lb test monomfilament

    282 lb Stripe Marlin on a Van Staal with 50lb braid in a row boat

    312 lb Yellowfin Tuna on a Shimano TLD 50 with 80lb spectra

    65 lb Mahi Mahi on a 6500 Penn Spinner with 20lb test monofilament

    53 lb Stripe Bass on a Van Staal with 20lb test Braid off the rocks

    32 lb Snook on a Billy Pate #6 with 6lb tippet in a kayak

    You make the call seriuosly this is for scientific surveys please leave your comments even if they are just simple answers doing a thesis with theses,

    Good question. Never wrangled with the bigger snook on light tackle, so can't put that into my deductions, but I'd have to say....

    The mahi mahi gets the nod. if they grew to be granders, we would never catch them. almost went with the swordy, but the heavy tackle swayed me from it.

    whats a stradic 1000?? sawdust?

    i think every one of these could be the toughest it depends on the fish and they are all different everyday!!

    never caught a swordy yet heard their tough buggers

    Strike the striper. They are big fat babies. I started thinking about the blue marlin but then I just started thinking that if you treated that big broomstick like a tld 25 and backed off the drag to about 6lbs you would catch that fish in an hour. My vote is the yellowfin on the 50 with 80lb braid.
