    First MHC bluefin Rumor

I have not gotten proof yet, so it is till a rumor as far as I am concerned. You know how these things get started. Someone heard from someone that heard someone caught and bluefin. There has possibly been a 80 inch bluefin caught and brought in to the Morehead City area. I will try and find out the truth as soon as I can.

I will keep up with this as much as I can. traditionally the first bluefins have been caught inshore of the Trawler Bouy between November the 8th and 10th. So that is not very far away. WE are seeing more bait in the ocean that we have in many years. with a little cold weather and luck this could be the best bluefin season that we have had in the last 6 or 7 years! It reminds me of the days back in the late and middle 90's.

Glad to hear, hope that it is true. Its always nice to keep the trawl boats out and have plenty of bait around.

Joe, on Friday, while we were False Albacore fishing, we had 2 slicks pop up near the boat, the good stinky kind. Now we did not see any fish, but the slicks we look for were there. North end of Shack, 30 to 40' of water... And for those that wonder, yes we do find them in that shallow of water here...
    MirrOlure when big fish count!
