    Firday at the Hambone

It was a bumpy ride out on Friday, and we only made it in our 28' McKee Craft express thanks to the courtesy of Capt. Robbie on the Endeavor, who waved us in behind him as we tried to pound our way out. Thanks for flattening the seas, Robbie!!! Once there the bite was s-l-o-w for us, with one strike, only, at 12:30 in 124' right ontop of the Bone. This critter took a naked run 60 - 70 yards back on a long rigger, ignoring the two WWBs and planer lines (which had been the productive ones previously). It was on 30-lb test, and Josh Lowery fought it for about 20 minutes before turning the rod over to Dad (Brian). He took another 20 to 25 minutes to bring it up for the gaff shot. Nice job Lowerys, now break out the WASABI!!

It's all worth it for that one fish. We fished that area all day on 7/17 only producing a mid-sized king. Nice job, enjoy the delicious fish.

Hey Elusive - yup, it's (finally) complete. Still no cabin cushions, but we'll live. No really good pix yet except for this babe shot, taken while clamming behind 8th st. after YET ANOTHER blow-out.Firday at the Hambone-508-001.jpg
