    Favorite reel...

figured this would be a good little new years starter..

what is your favorite reel hands down..

    new..
    old..
    vintage..

i am a big fan of the old penn 25gls... i think they were strong and kick but reels and have been using two of them for a long time now and they are still holding strong..

as far as new i love my alutecnos 50s.. they are strong, smooth as hell and they hold a ton of line!!

New: Tiagra 50WLRS Prob one of the best big game reels ever made. Hands down.

Old: Penn 50W's were bulletproof when the company was under the father

Vintage: Shimano Beastmasters. Although the plastic side plates tended to melt haha
