Fair or Cheating?

personally i feel this practice makes it a rich mans sport once again. maybe i shouldnt use the the term rich, but it places an unfair advantage for those of us who cannot afford to have a "spotter." we all pay the same tournament entry fees and with the added cost of fuel, transient slips, etc., it could put you behind in the thousands. so why cant it be a tournament, testing the ability of the capt and the crew. i recall a tournament where a good number of boats were fishing outside the 3 mile line for stripers. they werent caught, but a good percentage of those that fished outside of it...cashed. is that fair? pre-fishing...sure we all do it...but each day is different and we all know the fish move depending on tides, wind, the prevalence of bait. sometimes pre-fishing doesnt generally help one win a tournament.

The WMO IS A RICH MANS GAME.
Those who have fished It in maller boats on a limited budget understamd this. Pre fishing is part of the game.
If you can afford the fuel. Go fast or slow, get out there if you can. Not a problem for me.
I want to get out there in a "small" boat someday and kick some butt. It can happen.

i thought that the said pool was a holding pen to keep next years winning white or blue.....give em a chance to grow.....feed em well and dont have to search for the buoy that the $$$ fish was tied off on......

How could you stop it? Take everyones VHF, Sideband, SatPhone, Cellphone, WorldPhone away? Not to mention, hand signals, braille and morse code.

Pretty tough to regulate, even if they decided to try to.
