Tough day but we did manage to scrounge up a decent catch. Had triple header gaffers at 0830, stuck em in the box. few minutes later the planer trips and a nice hoo met his maker. The bite was on for about an hour and a half then a screeching halt for a couple hours. Perfect seas, 2-3 ft. I was standing behind the chair and saw the lt long rod bow to the rigger, I looked around for grass, NONE, quick drop back. I felt him pick it up then drop it, drop some more, quick slam in gear, POP goes the rigger, line comes tight and the fight is on. What a show. Nice sail and the crews first billfish ever. After we released the fish one of the crew came to me and said, when I was clearing the short I felt something pull and let go then pull. HMMMMM another sail, oh well. Picked up another hoo shortly after then another lull. Getting close to the end of the day when I hear the bridge pole, zzzzzttttt, zzzzztttt Shane is on it and does the drop comes tight and the show is on. The LOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGG bridge pole. There you go Dog # 2 for the day. High 5's all around and head to the hill.
