opinions are like a-holes and i know that but you long drawn out posts that are full of nothing but bs is getting a little old.

jodh is an extreme fishermen and he is not for show.. he does this for a living and he does it well.. maybe it is you who need to slow your roll a little bit..

HEY VINNIE!!!!! WTF.

Fred gave the guy his props and said that he was a helluva fishermen and that Raquel should not to be scared away by his antics. Now I have no idea who he is…. But if Capt Fred Archer says that he is a helluva good fishermen that is one great endorsement if you ask me.

He was adding some insight to this post and offered an alternative view on something. In no way did he disrespect the man. I don’t know about you but I always look at alternative products and services when shopping for anything. Now that doesn’t mean that he isn’t the best and not worth every dime he charges, which I’m sure he is. But not shopping around isn’t being an informed consumer and not the best way to spend your money.

Now YOU..... of all people are going to call him long winded???? Come on man, there is more info in one of his posts......

You know I like you, (and no I’m not a homo) and you add a lot to the color of this site that’s for sure... but you my friend, are jumping all over this guy for no reason at all. (in my opinion)

There are people on this site that have given Fred a hard time in the past for his views on how to do things and his self promoting, and it seems to me that you are jumping on the Hate Fred bandwagon. Why? Did he do something to you?

I for one am glad to see that he is finally posting again and now you’re going to chase him away with this crap? Why do you think he hasn’t been around in awhile?

I’m sure I’m not the only one on here that looks forward to seeing a post from Capt Archer. He has more experience then just about anybody on this board and I want to continue to see him share his vast knowledge with us. (Yes I am very selfish)

If you feel he is long winded and doesn’t bring anything to the table then just hit the ignore button and you won’t have to look at it.

Me…. I want to hear what he has to say. I, as a novice, want to hear all angles of how things can be done and then make my own decisions. Capt Fred Archer thinks outside of the box which I find very informative, and would like to continue to see things from his prospective.

Sorry Vinnie but I had to say this as I feel that you have just disrespected a legend in sport fishing without proper cause. Please show the man the respect that he deserves.

He gives to this site plenty, with his knowledge and compassion, and has addressed this topic with Admin in the past.

Anyway, back to the question raquel. Hope you got in touch with chad. I have another idea that you should maybe call me about. A very good buddy and one of the best marlin fishermen I know just moved his boat to aruba for a little while. He has been seeing some decent numbers of marlin and told me another boat lost a 700lb blue after a two hour battle a few days ago. This place is not known for its marlin fishing because many folks don't do it there. But he has been surprised by the success.

I unfortunetly am not allowed to go to aruba because I took my wife to venezuela instead of aruba for our honeymoon. She said if I ever go fishing in aruba then she will cut........well, nevermind.

As for the other bs trying to derail your thread. I would highly recommend Josh's operation. guess what, it cost more to fish on a custom carolina then it does on a panga or a 1971 33 bertram. I as well as matt and probably a few others on this thread have actually been on a boat with Josh and he and his mates work their collective asses off to find you fish. Captin Fred is correct. He may be a little bit more but I would fish with Josh in a Canadian second.

Bill, Capt Fred, lilharcher and all who have contributed to my question of where to go..thanks - i have gotten my list ready and the options are getting harder to figure out. I was just on the phone with one of my clients who is taking his boat down to Mexico - Looks like i might be going sailfishing............funny how things change....and then Howard called and wants to take the tunabite to panama.......
