We tried all kinds of stuff through the years. Ones with noise makers, and strobes, and vibrators. None faired well and life on them seemed limited to just a couple trips... More stuff to cathc fisherment not fish. I prefer to be the other way...

There are a couple of trolling lures on the market that chirp and one that chirps and vibrates.
SoCal marlin fishermen bought quite a few these past couple years. The Sevenstrand Eals have cought some stripped marlin. There is allot of skeptics out there that want more evidence before shelling out 200 clams fer one.
They seem to attract sharks pretty good. I allways felt trolling is the way to go , when shark fishing.
Give me a squid chain anchored with a vibratting, chirping lure, and I'll go sharking with it.
