El Pescado Billfish Tournament coverage

This will NOT be as good a coverage as the WMO was. The El Pescado www.elpescadobillfish.com has been around a long time and has gone in and out of favor. The group running it this year hope to bring it back to the prominence it once was. The tournament is based at the NE Florida Marlin Association clubhouse at Camachee Cove Marina www.nefma.com in St. Augustine, Florida. A cold front pushed in last night and it is breezy and beautiful weather. Mid 60's this morning, a nice change from the 80's. High was around 80 instead of the usual low 90's.

History shows that this tournament is usually a sailfish tournament and the first boats have hit the dock. I am in Jacksonville Beach and I am getting reports from St. Augustine. I do not know the leaders yet. So far, the Friday catch is:

MY BREE 6 sailfish
JOY RIDE 6
RINGLEADER 6
REEL PUSHY 4
LADY SIMONE 3

Kinda, they are a part of the Marlin Club but they travel alot and aren't around. I can get a message to them. Anyone specific?

As sailfishing sometimes goes, big catches or bust. Alot of boats we know got skunked. The word is that there was a pod of sailfish approx due east of St. Augustine and 17 boats got into em. Still trying to get some more info and want to see who is actually leading.
