these are like a budget... anyone in business knows that if you don't use up a budget... then your budget gets cut the next year... its the same as our quota... if we dont use it... we lose it... We already lost some to Spain, Canada and Mexico this past year because we haven't filled it in two years... So thats why we here should worry about the quota here... not that I am saying we are taking too much heck I wish the NC guys fill the rest of it... Box. To be honest, I haven't talked to Pisano in years. Last I heard he had a heart attack but was ok. He taught me almost everything I know about fishing for these Giants...Mudhole or Jeffries Ledge and beyond. I just cant believe you guys are trolling for them down there. I must say that if you want a REALLY big slob then chunk for them. Get on a wreck, drop a live ling down to 80 ft and let it swim there. If they are around, it will go off. Slack tide gets the most bites for me. On the anchor, when the boat starts flopping around...be ready then. Dump BUCKETS of fresh bait and they will go nuts.

A little late as usual, Just found this one. I say "stay the course" ,don't let the b$ get ya. Not North v/s South crap. Shoe you'r right not all of us are grouchy pri's .To many years everything was secret, even from the very freinds we fished with. Bait,chum or not ,depth, depth of fish,Dead/alive/chunk,wt.etc. etc. I don't care if i break the mold, I'm a comm. hook fisherman. I will tell anyone who cares how i fish and the details if they want them. Not trying to change anyone or their way of fishing. That being said,I personaly like all the reports the longer the better. I can read in the passion! Even though i fish for money i still have a passion that can't be denied, if that ever leaves i will give up fishing!! Opps the rant is OVER. Have a GREAT day. Don

I'm embarassed to be grouped into Drakes north vs south saga. Drake if the stories to long and drains your brain don't read it and move on. I enjoy the stories, especialy this time of year when we can't fish here in Boston do to closed grounds and weather. I try to help when ever I can and will continue to do so. I doesn't matter where you fish some locals think they own there water and don't want anybody there, that's North or South. Catch the quota.
