    Drag For Sailfish/Whites

What drag weight do you all usually use when fighting sailfish/white marlin on small Js and Circle?

4 lbs until you finish hooking any others in the spread, then up to 5 lbs when it's time to go get 'em.

It would depend on what line class you were using. 12 lbs or 20 lbs. I use as much drag as I can without breaking the line. If you’re asking how much drag you use at strike, it shouldn't really matter. You should see the fish behind the bait and free spool it.

As little as possible. If I am gaining at 3lbs then I keep it at 3lbs. IF I have to go up to 5lbs then I push it up.

    Cool

My guess is 3 to 5. I am kinda like you Squid, enough to gain line AND keep a bend in the rod.

I do it by feel, constantly checking all day. If you fight a fish, check it. If you check the Bait, check it. It doesn't take long to figure out what feels right to you.
