    Scotty Electric: Model 1116

Scotty Manual: Model 1091 combo pack

Both have extendable booms and swivel bases.

Those Scotty's seem like a pretty good deal with a lifetime warranty and a good price to boot. The top wind would take a little getting used to. Anybody have anything bad to say about Scotty's?

Yep there is a scotty for the other side to.

Iv'e pulled a 32.24,16's at 6+ knots in pretty rough seas.

Just replace the cable with braid. Also use a small piece of mono (300#)at the end of the braid, this will stop the edges of the shovel from chaffing the braid, been there done that.

We run Scotty Strong Arm with a short boom

We have 100 yards of 300 lb spectra with a number 32 Old Salty planner. We had been running them the old way from a cleat but now using the Scotty ones which are built battleship tough. We have them rigged on gunnel mounts that go in our Lee rod holders which we got made for us at a shop in New Bern, NC. We have also run a 500 series Z wing off the downriggers lately also and that is why we use 300 lb spectra.
Jerry Brown not power pro. I have a Scotty electric also but have not rigged it up as we did not have a base plate for it to bolt to the gunnel mount as I do not want to put any additional base plates on our gunnels and I also use the 16 postions swivel mount on our Scotty. Scotty's are big out in the NW as they are made in Canada but they are top of the line from our experience but possibly like Cannon might be more expensive than other brands. If you are down around MHC this winter feel free to stop by and we will show you how we have ours rigged.
