Its been a year or so, but City dock I believe might have the only ramp on that side of the Island and is nearest to the mouth of the inlet.

Curtis Merritt Harbor is at the end of the Island and is the closest to the inlet. You need a $20.00 sticker from the town to use the ramp, and that fee is good for the year. It is an easy run almost straight out from Curtis Merritt to the inlet.

Being a local, I'll confirm Curtis Merritt Harbor as the tipping point. Also, CI has to be the easiest inlet on the East Coast to pass though. Nothing like the Carolina Inlets for certain.

Yup Curtis Merritt to launch, get your permit at the police station off Maddox. They r open 24x7 last time I bought 1. Tons of hotels on the island...basically a u pic em. Lookin for the closest run to the Washington it appears . Oh, I'm about 99% sure your chartplotter will have the inlet totally wrong so just stick the markers.
