    Deep Dropping Basic Rig Set-up?

Looking to expand our catch horizons a little and bring home some more meat on the days when the tunas just don't cooperate. Can anyone describe what their basic deep dropping rigs for tiles looks like? I'm sure it's probably pretty simple, but how much weight are you using when not using electric reels and what shape sinker? I have some goose decoy weights between 1.5 and 3 pounds that I was thinking about using, but they're muffin shaped. I'd imagine the flat bottom with make them sinker slower and plane through the water on their way down.

What pound leader and how big of a hook?

    Thanks,
    Larry

what kind of rod and reel is this setup for? I have many different tile setups, and our big gun is a shorty bent butt with a senator 130/dolphin electric motor, 130 braid, and window sash weight. We call it the big easy, has brought up many 35+ lb goldens.

to add, most of the tile rigs i have used, made, and seen in stores have a relatively short leader placed a few feet about the weight, i'd say less then 2'. I assume its to minimize tangles from the drop and currents. I am no expert of tile fishing, so maybe some of the other guys will be more helpful!
