All in all, our gathering yesterday was a good thing. We took one of many steps, but it was definitely a step in the right direction. Let's not forget that this is DC we are talking about, it could be a long, uphill battle to fix the current situation and PROTECT THE FISH AND THE FISHERMEN AND FISHERWOMEN. No one will do this for us, our future is in our hands.

So get this, I stopped at some random place for a bite to eat on my way home, some place near WC, firewater, or firehouse... anyway, I see a friend and his wife there so I sit down with them. As I'm showing them photos from the DC event, out of no where comes a handful of babes, basically in lingerie???
Turns out, it's a week late Mardi Gras costume contest . . . . . . . . so I got that going for me, which is nice.
One of the girls overheard me talking about the DC rally and asked about it. When I told her how the powers that be are using inaccurate information and making poor decisions that hurt many of us, her response was "That's stupid." I totally agree.
