My buddy is second place in Blue Marlin

Quick Question - The F Calcutta is a $1500 winner take all for the biggest Blue Marlin. tHE FIRST PLACE FISH ISNT IN THAT CALCUTTA, oops...... does that mean the second place blue marlin, which is in that F calcutta, gets all that prize money from that F calcutta pool. Because right now, the website has them getting the basic $2,000. thanks. oh yeah - I enjoy the coverage as well.

MDCrabs, I can't answer your question, but I just logged on Friday morning and I am kicking myself. The owner/angler of Wireless offered me a spot on his boat two weeks ago and I had to turn him down due to a couple of meetings I couldn't get out of! Damn work! Next year my calendar will remain open for the Open. Way to go Carl and Team Wireless, hope it holds up.

For the calcutta, the 1st qualifying fish entered in that skill level takes the money. That's why the 5th place tuna is worth more than the biggest tuna. If #1 ins't in the calcutta, #2 gets teh money. In teh case of tuna, the number 1 and #2 fish aren't in (As of day 3 - maybe they got bumped yesterday) but that's how it works.
