I am certainly not going to pass judgement as I was not on any of the boats weighing fish under 60# but....I hope that everyone is getting a length AND girth measurement on fish that are close before killing them. Skinny long fish are NOT going to win this tourney...never have. Got to have some girth and usually have to take it all the way to the tail. Better to bring a white onboard and get a GOOD length and girth measurement than get a poor measurement in the water and gaff it. JMHO.
