Darlin takes 2nd in OC Tuna Tournament

What a fun weekend on the Darlin. Fished with Doug, Corey, Al, Allen and Bill. Started in the Wilmington after gettin it handed to us on the long ride up on Friday. No love until about 10:00 when Bill(mover II) hooks a white marlin and got the quick release. Then came a single yellowfin followed by another white marlin for Bill. Both whites came on Squidnation Mini H Green and Crystal. An hour later We got wammalammed by 7 yellowfins. The Rasta Bar on the flat started going the other way really really fast. Followed by the Chains and the the long riggers. Got 4 in the boat to put us in 5th place after day 1. Ended the day 5 miles from the spencer in about 70 fathoms

Day 2 - Sunday - Started back in the wilmington deep looking for a big eye. No love on the eyeballs. I jumped off a white that ate the Green Chain with a Green Matanza. 10 minutes later I was putting on the Green and Crystal Big Heavy on the flat line and had it ripped from my hand. missed him But another tuna found the rasta bar on the right flat. Catch one out of 3. From that point on we had doubles, triples and quads for the next 3 hours but we were suffering from Rubber Hooks. Just couldn't keep them buttoned. We did manage to hang on to 7 yellowfins on the day. Our two day stringer weight total 507lbs which was good enough for 2nd place.

Great weekend with lots of laughs, plenty of fish and even had a Sherpa siting out in the deep
