I don't get it? Must be a shallow spot out there.
I've never seen a boat sink to the point it was suspended at the top of the water unless there was air stuck in the bow or something but to sit suspended by the hardtop, or at least that's how it appears. Maybe air in the flybridge, but could stratoglas hold air in the flybridge to the point of suspending a 15ton boat? And if air were stuck in the salon, wouldn't it be sitting higher in the water? It looks almost salvagable. It should be sunk or salvaged before someone hits it and we have the same scenario again. Weird pic. |

Great Job Capt and crew of the Fat Cat. You guys saved these guys lives and should be proud. You pray this never happens again to any crew but we all know the risk still remains.
Reminds us all of the importance of having the right safety equipment AND the knowledge to use it. |

That was 15 years ago and I am still huggin and kissin our rescuers each year when I see them at the MA500, boat was Lady Lousie out of wayne nj. Good guys

Awesome job Capt and crew. When I was a teenager, my Pop pulled three guys out of the water at Beach Haven inlet...they got rolled in a small bowrider and we managed to get them out of the breakers (they were clinging to their overturned boat). One of the guys made my Dad a custom rod for saving them...I still use it to this day.
Your good karma ticket has been punched forever on your save! Glenn |
