They're a very fortunate crew. You've also hit the nail on the head. All I've ever asked after helping someone in distress is to do the same for me or another. Thumbs up to you, sir.

Thank you for your assistance I have goose bumps as i write this! The vessel owners is a great guy.. I was on the phone with him about an hour ago - after ALL the papers & questions where done and he was home with his FAMILY! What you and PHAT CAT did is something to be proud of.. lives where saved due to your direct action.. we can all learn from that. again well done.

You didn't keep on fishing? With all the extra hands on deck you could have really worked on them.

OK, OK.......I'm just kidding, but "well, we are already here" did come to mind.

I'm really glad you were there for those guys and responded accordingly. So many people leave it up to the "other guy" to help out. Pretty work on being there for them.

Great job!

Thank you for being a responsible captain and diverting immediately. Good things come to those who do good deeds.

Another moral to this story is for everyone that heads offshore to be 100% certain their rafts and EPIRB's have been checked and re-certified.
