Coolest, Scariest, Wierdest, etc... Thing or things you saw at the Canyon lst. Yr.!!!

Ok, i will start...... Overnighting in the Wilmington in early October.... We along with some others chunking the area had a run-in with about a 30 foot whale shark. It came into our underwater lights and i near crapped myself. It was the coolest thing i have seen in a long time out there. Anyone else????

Huh, same time frame same area, same thing with the whale shark, at least I know I was not seeing things.

Coolest thing I saw last year was during Shark season when I had 4 Great whites around the Hard head at the same time. Positive ID, and the biggest was probably 20 plus feet long. Amazing

Last year

Coolest:

4 Blues at the Baltimore in October. {No really!!!!}

Scariest:

Freighter on the radar in really thick fog and then the blast from his horm. {No matter how much clearance you have, I always get nicotine stains in my shorts when this happens.}

Wierdest:

Deep C

This was pretty cool. A huge shark came up behind the boat and took one bite out of this 60lb bluefin tuna.

Sweet! Should have thrown the head back over with a hook. Got a huge mako around 750 before on a tuna head in the canyon.

Cool

I've never seen any but I heard one captain this year that saw 4 SEA SNAKES off the Balto Canyon overnighter. 1st time he's heard of or seen any of those in 31 years on the water. Said he brought in all lines and got out of Dodge.

I saw a great white back in the 90s on the "Heidaway"-46ft Post. We were hooked up to it for about 45 mins...got to the boat rolled 1 time broke the 600lb wire leader and swam away.
