Coolest thing sitting on the bottom at 20 meters watching a mother and calf hump back whale, mum asleep with nose in the sand, weirdest eagle rays jumping en mass a whole squadron +- 30, must mention here also a squadron of cuttle fish moving over reef and sand you will not believe how fast they can change color underwater in the blink of an eye coral sand coral sand, and scariest whale shark small one, so I jump over the side with snorkeling gear to take some picks water not that clean swim like mad to catch up and its a white JC had nothing on this man that morning.!

Craziest thing:
Down in the Gulf about 40 miles off. First rig, first pass of the day. A boat pulls up about 300 yards away and two guys start beating up a third, they throw him overboard. Lines in and we go get him. He is drunk and wiped. Hail the other boat and they say f- him. We call the coast gaurd and they come and get him. He tells us that they had him hogtied earlier. About 4 weeks later the FBI called me for the story.

Coolest: Same trip, with him still in the boat. A 200 plus yellowfin follows in my mullet. Dam, the one that got away!

fishing at the baltimore canyon about three day's after it was revealed thomas capano dumped ann marie fahey's body in a cooler out there. there were two navy ships in the canyon going back and forth along an edge for about 6 hours. if anyone was going to find that anchor im sure it would have been the navy. of course im speculating what they were doing, but there sure was alot of backing down!

Most disturbing-watching a mako shark bite the tail off a dolphin, then come around for the kill while the dolphin screamed and flailed. The sound will never leave my head...
