Cod fishing in NE charter?

Considering a business trip to NE in November. I would like to know if Bottom fishing in NE is viable. I don't know anything about this fishery except for it is something I always wanted to try.

We will be starting in Boston for the business part but then we are just going to travel around. If we can get some reccomendations then we would probably head in that direction

Codfishing off Boston is great in Nov. when big spawning cod move in. But unfortunately they close the areas for recreational anglers in Nov. this year. They are considering to close those areas in Dec. too.
You might charter out of Green Harbor, MA to fish Wildcat Knoll east of Stellwagen Bank, which is usually very good in Nov. or go up to Portsmouth, NH to fish Jeffries.

Try Ken Roth on Hailey Elizabeth 781-834-1738. A group of guys who fish with me out of OCMD swear by him.

cod fishing

HEY,
I just signed up on this website,so far its been great. Me and my buddys fish on the Hellen H. The captian and crew are great. The last few years our trips were to be in february.February sucks! Its cold and uasually snows. This year we booked our trip first weekend after the new year. The trip is 12 hours all togather. They run about 80 miles to the Georges Bank.It cost 135.00.Most trips produce nice fish with our biggest at 40lbs Its great fun and action is all day long. One year we weighed the total catch cleaned and baged at 220lbs ofcod fillets. It more fun with a group, give me or john a call if you want to go up togather. Its a LONG ride to Hyanisport.

talk soon, Ken Doody
