great places to fish over there.
Good question was asked of me in PM... "Whats the night life/ women situation there?" If you don't bring it this island hasn't got it... Theres a small bar that closes pretty early. Used to be another "native" place but it's been closed for some time now. This place is about fishing, wearing yourselves out, and getting up the next day to do it again.
Beer or Bottles can be bought at the island store. A lot of our groups get a bottle and do some relaxed "mellowing" out. Beer is really very expensive... With advanced notice I can carry over a very limited supply... When that space is gone though I can't carry any more.
Most women on the island were brought there by boyfriend or husband and I don't suggest tempting fate... There is no medical facility on the island and I'm as close to a doctor as you'll normally find there...You'ld be surprised what I can fix with duct tape though...

For what its worth:
Due to economy, not many boat fishing Chub from Nassau this yr...Seems like Chub area fishing is really heating up.
Just received a message...One boat caught 14 Hoos at Chub this past weekend...Also, the top two boats in the Bahamas Wahoo Challenge caught all their fish at Stirrup/Berry Islands (just north of Chub)...the 2nd place boat caught a quad (4 fish) at 222lbs.....Both boats must of had 20 fish each on the first day.
Billfish will show from March on...

Thats dead on typical of the pocket... I have three wahoo honey holes that I avoid like the plague when marlin fishing... Its heart stopping to see six slob hoos air out into a spread. Its gut wrenching to see the sticks bend, scream, then stand back up with no lures tacked on the ends...
The first Billfish tourney there is in January and they catch quite a few blues during it. I'm just not sure how to avoid the striped death other than get a bit farther off the edge. Thats all fine and dandy but some of my marlin spots are real close in to that same edge...
By March and April the hoos start to stack up on specific spots and I can just steer around them unless some of my guests want to catch them. Then I wire up, throttle up, and rock their world!![]()
