    my 2 cents

necked ballyhoo on 80 # fluorocarbon...sometimes we will put a small pink squid skirt Tunas, Wahoo's with very few cutoffs as well as Blues and whites. Sails seem to like the back of our boat more...

Standard spread, it's a Bird & a red & black jet head just behind the long riggers. If BFT are around, it's a purple & black or Pink & blue islander w/ bally WWB, no bird. Unfortunately, sans bird those Grady's will be all over it!

I always have luck with a green machine spreader bar way back. Also have good luck with a lure & hoo combination.

We have run diff. baits back there depending on the wind/waves. If it is calm then we run a bird green machine if it is windy we might put a spreader bar back there. Both have produced at different times. Also like the blue and white black hole.

Last season for me, it was a bird (Medium sized) with an Ilander Flasher (blue-white) with a Horse or Select bally...run it just past the long riggers (not WTFB)...landed some nice wahoos and tunas on this rig. If I'm targeting med. school bluefins inshore, I usually will take the bird off and drop it further back so it is not popping up very often if at all...

Bird and spreader bar, but not too far back, I run it just passed the long riggers, it's still part of the spread

300yrds WTFB with horse bally/witch on an 80, bluefin candy.

A simple tip to those who fish wwb with 80's and dont have a line counter, when the bait hits the water start counting, 1, 2, 3, 4 etc.. up to 100 (slightly faster than 1 number per second), at 100 set it up and you are about 300yrds back. It worked within 30+-yrds everytime.
