Caveman Sportfishing and Admin's overnighter!

Well here's the results from Admin and Caveman's overnight trip! Both were really tired when they got back and asked me to post this. I'm sure Admin John and Capt. John will post their detailed reports as soon as they get some rest.

Great trip Capt John & Admin John! That tuna looks like another 150+!!! You're on the meat my friend. I'm hoping they hang around until I can float myself out there.

When you post your update can you let us know how the sea conditions were? This forecast is a tough one, trying to sort through swell vs butt kicking.

Mate Mike and Capt John, who was the second Capt, did a wonderful job in the pit on this trip. Without their hard work we would never had such great trip. The anglers were first rate also which makes a big difference on how many fish you boat and John Sajak showed more determination and guts fighting the 146 lb bluefin stand-up for well over an hour than I have seen in a while. He is the Dennis Braid of the East Coast. No big secrets on where we fished Friday (Bluefin Hole as we call it) and on Thursday's trip with the 156 lb BFT we worked the 20 fathom line down off Ocean City MD. We caught all our fish yesterday (Friday) on the chunk and not chasing any scallop boats.
There was a very good day time chunk bite on 40-65 lb yellowfin using live bait with 80 lb leader. Yes, a day bite using heavy leader. Most bites on top with live spot or mullet. The bluefin bite was early am yesterday morning on live squid and butterfish. They were loaded with sand eels, squid and butterfish chunks. The yellowfin had sand eels and butterfish chunks in thier stomachs. Drifting produced the best Yellowfin bite and the BFT were caught on the hook. The seas were not real good on Friday but with a bigger boat as ours it was more than fishable and the wind was blowing over 20 knots plus about 2/3 of the trip with honest 3-4 foot seas except when we first left Cape May. Inshore the seas got a lot better than were we fished yesterday
