Catch report - Casa Vieja Jan 09

My group from New Hampshire is in at Casa Vieja this week, aboard the "Release" (37ft Merritt) with Capt. Nico Melendrez. The party is doing rather well - considering that January isn't typically a real good month. Their first day out they had 28, second day - 40 fish and yesterday 32 releases = 100 sails released and they have two more days to complete their trip. I'm pretty certain this will become a semi-annual event.

Practically all the boats in the Casa Vieja Fleet (now numbering eight) have done as well, and maybe a little bit better than the Release. In any case, 2009 has started with a BIG BANG!!!
