With a beautiful flat wake and very little white water, its length, design and maneuverability make Makaira the quintessential light tackle rig.
“Makaira” is available for charter through the Lodge and is equipped with Tred’s personal ultra light tackle – two thru eight pound outfits and two twelves. The maximum test line on the boat is 16-pound outfits specifically for marlin. There is also a full arsenal of fly rods for those wishing pursue pelagics with the long wand!
