Fishing can be great in many parts of the Caribbean. Although I have not fished in all of these myself I understand that billfishing is great off Puerto Rico, Dominica (Punta Cana), US Virgin Islands and of course Venezuela (is that south enough?)

I'm sure that the above locations also have good meat (tuna, mahi, wahoo) fishing, but the Bahamas have big wahoos and mahis and Trinidad has massive yellowfin tunas for sure.

Check on the seasons. Once you have narrowed your search down a bit, you can find all the info you need on line.

    Good luck,

    Christmas fishing destination

FISHINGSTUFF, Venezuela is your best option for a Christmas fishing destination in the Caribbean.

It is a great time to experience mixed bag offshore fishing and usually the seas are mild/calmer in December. You also can plan an excursion to Los Roques for awesome bonefishing, permt, tarpon, etc.....

The peacock bass fishing here is second only to Brasil and is located at some of the most exotic, beautiful locations in the country.

If it may be a "once in a lifetime trip", do not consider anywhere else. It is simply the best by a longshot and should be your first choice.

Second choice?....... Aruba for offshore fishing and nightlife combo.

FYI.......... The Bahamas are not located in the Caribbean Sea.

Also fabulous food friendly people/beautiful women and easy access from Toronto.

If you want to fish inshore you can use some of your Musky gear to cast to Jacks, Dorado and maybe small Tuna.
