killing stuff cause it feels good
Captain Scotty Waltermeyer
Just wanted to pass along that Capt. Scotty is in the hospital and not doing too hot. I don't know all of the details, but it does not sound very good for him.
Scotty has been my friend for over 20 years. I first met him when he was working on the Robin's Nest at White Marlin Marina. He's one tough SOB, but it sounds like he's not gonna win this fight.
For those of you that are religous, please include Scotty and his family in your prayers.

Team Canada Rocks!
heard the news earlier today. very sad - hope he can pull through

god bless
the sad truth is that as of around 9 am tomorrow they are going to take scotty off life support and barring a miracle he will pass. i will miss capt. scotty for the person he was and the rare talent he posessed, who else caught 800+ pounders to back up 70+ pounders in mid atlantic TOURNAMENT results.
I personally pray for the miracle but as the realist i always have been i pray for a peaceful passing for a man who always was just who he was, a guy you might not understand but would do what he could to do all he could. god bless you scotty for being you!
your friend,
Blaine

Crab mustard is good
I'm overwhelmed with sadness to learn of this. I just spoke with Scotty about 2 weeks ago to let him know that I would not be in Hawai'i when he was passing thru. He has a job lined up to deliver a boat from the east coast, thru the canal and onto Thailand. He was a great friend to me. When I was very new in the industry, he gave me support, friendship, advice & helped me find work. He showed me respect & friendship. I hope that miracle happens. He's a good soul. and a good friend.

I just got squirted with ballyhoo poop
Is this the same Scott that worked with a captain Ziegler (sp?)? They use to hang out at Bahia in OCMD? If so, from when I met him a few times, he was really a stand up guy. Best wishes to his family.

Thoughts and prayers from Scotty's friends here in Venezuela.

killing stuff cause it feels good
I don't recall Scotty ever fishing with Craig at bahia- he is best known for his years spent on the Waterdog and more recently the Pumpin Hard.
Truly a one of a kind man.

Unfortunately, no miracles at the hospital today. Capt. Scotty passed away this morning.
Rest easy my friend, and I hope the marlins are thick and the seas are calm for you in heaven.
