This is an official letter from Dumbstain Team Not Enough Money should have won. The winners weighed their fish in at 9am as per the press release on CNN when they published the 800+lb mako in Marina Del Rea. Why were they allowed to weigh in early and why didn't any other team see the shark??? They said when I asked it was done because it was a potential WORLD RECORD. So lets see. I am suppose to tell a 65" mako in the water alive but these winners can't tell a fish is 400+lbs short of a world record???? I think we actually did pretty good at our guesstimates.

First round qualifier was to be 70" ours was 68" not bad for a glance with a live creature moving

Second round 65" min ours was just over 65" again not bad and why would I let a qualifier go if in a "REAL TOURNAMENT" isn't the idea to win???

Wasn't there two other teams that first measured their fish and it was short in the water then at the dock it was legal

Now wait till tonight when you see the monster brought back then tell me how proud you guys are of what this event does for our industry.

Who's boat do you work or own??? Just want to add it to my list of professionals...you know, since everything is just fine with their representation of you & your business. Do you tournament fish? If so, I would like the name of your boat, you know, just to see what comes to the dock from such a professional. Wow...All those lessons learned growing up...honor, respect, first impressions...guess all that has changed in the Northeast since I grew up there... Someone or group of someone's better start taking care of business before business vanishes...
Well thank you kindly for the welcome. I will enjoy my stay. As for the bottom line, I guess your the one I would like to meet so that your perfection can rub off on a mere mortal like myself.

Do I fish tourneys, well this year will be my first "official" money tournement, I guess I have been fishing for about 28 years now, and growing up in Beach Haven West NJ I think I have some credentials about being on the water. I dont claim to know all, nor do I even remotely think I know it all, but I see past what others like to dredge on, and that is what you seem to be doing. You plainly stated in your post that the Mako was illegal, all I did was question your knowledge of a legal fish. I couldnt seem to measure that fish with my TV ruler, so I dont think you did either. Watch the show more closely and you may see that there was a bad representation of that crew. Were they partying and having a good time, your damn right they were, is it illegal to have fun when out fishing, dont think so. Did they maybe make a bad decision about partying hard, possibly, but that is all up to who is making the decision. I would have loved to be on that boat, and I am sure alot of others would have.

Again, thanks for your kind welcome.

Now lets see. Gruney productions doesn't have an agenda against our team do they. I was sick with a staff infection from a fin in the knee and was in the cabin most of sat just out o move the boat and no beverages due to a 104 fever

The fish we caught was again boated around 9:30a and we were back in the dock eating pizza at lunchtime with the coproducer Frank I. while i was napping waiting for the scales to open.

The so called drunkin rampage at the meeting the argumentwas about how many sharks are allowed per boat per day which the westies didn't know the rules of 1 per boat per day and the production company wanted them to boat one then return to the water to catch another fish We also debated the early return if a boated fish was brought back. Ours hung for hours at the dock off the transom.

I would like to know how Dave from team not enough money can say we were drinking all day on the dock friday before the captains meeting??? Hey Dave were you at the marina with me across the road while the boat was hauled for motor work and welding??? Did you help me detail the boat while it was out if so I don't remember and neither was the rest of the team until later in the day because they were in philly getting on a flight to mass. so how were we drinking all day. The boat was launched at 4:30 pm and taken for a shakedown with th mechanics??? Then we returned fueled and baited then wen to the meeting. Maybe you should show the class everyone is telling you you have and tell the truth its easy to say it on the phone but man up and put it on here to show the boys were are being hung out to dry.

To the bald boy, where's the fish???? All we see now is your fce whinning undisputedly make me laugh

yes, i'm new to this site, looking forward to checking it out along with the several others i'm a member of...introduced after what i saw on shark hunters this past week. i saw last year's series, was psyched for this series. we all saw the show so i won't reiterate what we all already know was caught on tape.

who was the guy on the OG, sitting up on the helm, pouting, angry about not catching a big fish, drinking straight from the large glass bottle? i could be wrong, but i could have sworn that was the same guy calling in 2 false releases? was he not the captain or was he just the "go to" guy for the camera? in my opinion, he seemed like the guy in charge.....

i don't know these guys, but only can judge by what i saw on tv and heard (couldn't view) the video. the voice on the video (again, couldn't view) tells his side of the story. fine and dandy. bottom line, he admits to calling in false reports. why are we supposed to believe anything this guy says after admitting that he cheated in a tourney? it's called damage control. these guys may be great captains, knowledgeable fishermen and all that in their circle of friends...but now they are trying to save themselves because they were caught on camera and mad asses of themselves.

sorry crew of 'team jersey cape" i don't buy your story one bit.

If you say you don't know these guys then why would you comment on them? Just as you yourself stated you were only commenting on what you had seen on TV. TV reality shows are fabricated to what the networks wants thus they raise the ratings. The key is (NOT) everything you see on TV is actually the truth. Events are shown in the order the network wants them, (CALLED EDITING); this fabricates the story into the one the network want you to see and hear. Take it for what it is, (TV ENTERTAINMENT), and understand that with today’s technologies anyone with the right equipment can alter any video and audio it wants to create their own story.

doghouse, true, not everything on tv is legit....but who's to say what we saw on OLN/VS. isn't true? the crew defending themselves?

not to get into this debate, but are we, as a viewing auidence, supposed to be skepical of everything we see on tv and believe that NOT everything we see on TV is true? while there is a lil bit of a 'yes' in the answer, to think that entertainment and lying(spin) is the sole purpose of tv is ridiculous....in my opinion.

i mean, let's be honest...if i operated a charter business and stated that fact on a national tv program, acted like that in a public arena(tv show), i'd be doing everything in my power to spin the story to make it look as if my drunken persona was just that, a persona that the TV show was able to create for ratings!!

what are we to believe? there are only a handful of people that know the truth, the rest of us can have and give our own opinions....again, opinions. Me, i personally go with my gut. it's my nature. i incorporate that into what i do for a living and what i do when i'm on the water fishing for tuna, sharks, stripers or fluke(to name a few). in MY opinion, what i saw and heard from the jersey cape crew was ridiculous and i don't buy one bit of their excuses and i don't buy into the fact that the producers are spinning this show. maybe i'm pigheaded and stubborn (i am) to refuse to listen to their side, but that's what i love about this country of ours...god bless the usa!!

as to why i commented, i did so simply because as my friends and i watched this show with utter disbelief as to what we saw in the cockpit & HEARD out of crew's mouths, we wanted to comment on it. I can't/won't speak for them, I posted my opinion and would do so again.
