    Cape Verde Islands Bluefish

I'm looking for information on the schools of bluefish off the Cape Verde Islands. Does anyone know when the best fishing for them is? I've heard they reach 50 pounds in weight and we are interested in doing some light tackle fishing for them.
Also can anyone recommend guides that may be knowledgable about them?
    Thanks.

Bluefish, Cape Verde??? Well....um.....a.... Don't know about the Bluefish, good Amberjack fishing late summer and fall. Then there are the Blue ones. I just got back from 2.5 months fishing over there, 134 blues and a white. Thankfully did not see a bluefish. Not even in the fish market or on the commercial boats. Zak Conde runs the best operation there. www.marlincapeverde.com

I have heard of 30 plus pound blues- never personally seen one over 24 pounds.

A 50 pounder would be downright scary What a mean eating machine that would be.
