The next bite on a jig.

Cape Lookout Lures are well made!!

I got a chance to meet and talk with Bailey Tucker tonight. I had seen some pictures of his tiger striped heads and was interested in hearing more about them.

Let me tell you, there are a few things out there made to take the punishment of offshore fishing like Old Salty Planers, Bluewater Candy Witches, Shimano reels.......and Cape Lookout Lures.

Mr. Tucker explained to the group tonight about his tying method. He uses 3 coatings of expoy. One before the hair goes on, one in the middle of the hand tied wraps and a top coat.

I don't think I had seen a better hand made lure than these out there. The heads are machined (not lead) and coated to go the distance. No paint to chip.

Baileys moto....if your going to spend $18 on a lure, I'm gonna give you an $18 dollar lure. He really delivers and I'm sold.

Yep you can't go wrong with them. Lost another one on wire to slob Wahoo this weekend. Bailey makes them right.

Ive been waiting for 5 months for them to get the offshore bullets up on their website. Does anyone know where I can find them on the obx, so I can at least call them to order a bunch of them? They are, truly awesome

If you PM Bailey he will get back to you very quickly. I shot him a PM last week and he responded in less than an hour. I ordered some lures on Friday and when I got back from fishing on Sat. they were on my doorstep. I was not dissapointed when I opened the package. Well made, awesome lures. I can't wait to put them to the test.

Bailey, thanks for the lures and the help you gave me getting my hands on some.

Yeah, he does need to quit spending so much time tying lures and do some work there. I agree. But he was interviewing some new production people, so maybe there is light.

He is talking to someone in the OBX, but I forget who he said it was.

    Fully agree with Jim.

I fished some of Bailey's stuff a couple years ago. VERY high quality.

Yeah, me too. I lost a proven hooski catcher on Sunday

I just ordered some more though today.

Bailey told me that his heads would not scratch. I laughed at first.

Well, I have a head or had until Sunday....LOL

That I dropped on the deck once and caught 4 wahoo on before losing it. It did not have a single ding in it. I have yet to see that from any other painted head.

    Awesome stuff no doubt.
