    Cape Fear Rods?

I have a couple Cape Fear inshore setups that I really like. I know the company went out of business a couple years ago. I would of thought someone would of purchased the patents and technology by now. Is there any particular reasons this hasn't happened?

I have a friend who broke 2 stand up rods in 2 consecutive trips... he took the other 4 rods removed the reels and threw them overboard in 20 fathoms... they were JUNK... Thats why the chinese bought the company .. They specialize in JUNK...

I can speak from our experience, and I'll say their 30-60lb rods are outstanding, we landed a 345lb Yellowfin on a Cape Fear 40lb stick and I have nothing but good things to say about their rods.

    Your friend is crazy!

Skip, If that was our friend Steve... I think that the breaking of the rods was his fault. 80lb Diamond on a 50 class rod locked up... he was asking for it. I have had nothing but a great experience with all of my Cape Fear rods. I really like them and hope they come back. Tell me where he dropped them and I might break out my grapple
