Expecting a decent bite we set out early, got to the range just at dawn and had lines in at 7:15. The first hour of fishing proved to be most productive going 3/5 and also about 10 bonita. We started one mile south of Fowey rocks in 80 and dirfted through till 160. Bites were scattered through that range. There was no real current, but in the morning there was tons of bait and frigates around! We milled around the rest of the day with only a few mahi to 12lbs and a couple of kings. Some guys got into some fish in the afternoon (around 4:30pm) but our bait supply diminished...damn threadfins...we headed in!
Not a bad day overall...conditions were nice, 2-4 at the most and winds out of the NW to N in the afternoon.
Thanks
Justin
