Canyon Runner Day Troll (ZERO Tuna) - June 26

Hearing that the weather offshore was actually nice we decided to try to sneak in a one day canyon trip on Monday with the Charles Follo charter. Unfortunately we should have stayed at the dock as we would have caught just as many tuna there. A slow ride out into the south southeast wind had them arrive at the Toms Canyon at 6:30 and they trolled from the Toms to the Hendrickson Canyon without a touch. They then trolled the 500 Fathom line south and then moved inshore to the 100 line to the Lindencohl and up on the edge to the 50 fathom line without a bite. Looks like we won't get back out again until Thursday or Friday. Hopefully something arives by then.

This post is the exact reson I love this site... Honest and staright up. Hard to write but does such a great service to us all. That just saved my buddy and Iseveral hundred in fuel and bait as we were going to do an exploratory run out there when the w@$! lets up. Thank you good sir CR and you will get them next time...

Adam - same comments as Paul - planned the first overnighter this upcoming weekend but will chase the sharks instead based on your report. If you and Stew didn't get them, they aren't there. Appreciate the good with the bad reports.

Guys - thanks for all the GREAT comments. The reports will definately keep coming - good and bad - hopefull much more good.

I am sure things will turn on and stay on soon - remember it is only June 27. We will keep at it and as soon as the winds lay down be back out again - maybe Thursday/Friday or Friday/Saturday.

Hope we saved a bunch of people a bunch of fuel so it can be used when the bite is on!!!
