Canyon Runner Sport Fishing is looking to hire two Second Mates to assist in all aspects of the Canyon Runner business. Second Mates should be dependable, willing to work hard, clean cut, and extremely personable.

Responsibilities will include assisting in cleaning and maintaining all 3 vessels year round and before and after all trips, assisting in preparing for and packing out for all trips, assisting in maintaining tackle, assisting in tackle sales, assisting in Seminars, and working the cockpit on a part time basis as a mate in training. No prior offshore experience required – just be willing to learn all aspects of offshore fishing.

We are for about 50 charters from late January to mid-April out of Miami.

However, yes you would need to be in NJ from at least May to October.

Question since I don't know any professional Captains or mates
So being a second mate if you don't live in NJ
I guess you would have to get an apt. there to start
Where do you stay when you head down south
Are you allowed to stay on the boat or do you need to get an apt in Fla or where ever also
Same thing for the Captain, do you guys have houses or apt's in all locations
Sorry if this is dumb, but I never really thought about the living situations

Some good questions - you definately have to be located close enough to Pt. Pleasant, NJ to drive there everyday from May 15 to November 1.

As for age - as long as you can drive a car we would love to hear from you.
