Guys - thanks for all the resumes so far - all 50 of them. Keep them coming!

Please try to remember before submitting anything that this is a full time job (6-7 days a week from May 15 to September 15 and 3-4 days a week the rest of the year).

Below is a more detailed description of what would be expected of you and how much time you would see offshore fishing the canyons.
    ________

Your primary job with Canyon Runner Sport Fishing would be working on land year round. That said, you would fish approximately 2 canyon trips a week (almost all overnighters) from mid June to late October (approximately 30canyon trips a year as a second mate).

Every other day you are not on the boat fishing during canyon season you would be: (i) rigging tackle for the boat and for the tackle business, (ii) replenishing supplies for the boats, (iii) packing out the boats for the next trip, and (iv) upon return from offshore helping the Captains and First Mates do turn around canyon trips (such as getting bait cut and prepped at the dock, icing up, cutting fish from the previous catch, cleaning the boat). When the weather keeps us at home you will be assisting in maintaining the boats.

Even though your primary job is not working the trips you would still get about 30 canyon trips a year under you belt and all the experience that comes with it. You would then be in a position in a couple years to work your way into a first mates job where you would run all 60+ canyon trips a year and a second mate would support you.

Yes the job will remain open for at least a couple weeks - no rush to fill it up just yet.

I started mating when I was 12 so sure send along a resume with an explanation of how you can get to the Marina on a daily basis.
