We've been fishing everyday the weather allows (which hasn't been much in the past 3 weeks with these storms) but have been slightly lazy in posting reports. For reasons that shall goes unnamed we just need a break from the internet world every once in a while and this was our break. The fishing was ok in those past 3 weeks, however alot of time needed to be put in to put 6-10 fish in the boat. Not yesterday!!!
The fishing was too good not to let everyone know in case you want to get out with your own boat or on a charter so please read on.

Both boats left the dock yesterday morning and ran to the eddy that has been sitting offshore of the edge for 3 weeks now but is now final inshore from the the Toms to the Lindy. Trolling for a few hours to find the fish we knew it was only a matter of time and we'd find them. An boy did they find them.
Capt. Mark was the first on the fish and in 3 hours caught 45 longfin on the troll. Obviously everything worked so he stayed with the plastic and had 5, 6, 7, 8 on at a time. The longfin are from 35 - 65 pounds. He also added a bunch of mahi. Calling in Capt. Phil he also got into the bite catching 25 in 2.5 hours before his charter asked to stop fishing and go home. They stayed for the night bite.
The night bite was also red hot with the 48 Canyon Runner catch 14 yellowfin and 2 swords to 140 pounds and the 60 Ritchie Howell Canyon Runner catching 4 before taking the tuna rods out and just putting swords rods out after 10pm - they too caught a sword.
Both boats were on their way home early with the 60' leaving at 3am and the 48' at 5:30am. Neither hung around for the morning bite that could have been the best as per the Sea Devil report as they already had 88 tuna and 3 swords.
Before anyone gets their panties in a bunch - they released more than they kept.
