Canyon Runner AC Seminar Update & Real Time Giant Tuna Reports for 1/7/08

Well this is probably the last update on our Atlantic City Seminar but please be advised that we now have only approximately 25 tickets left. We will limit the audience to 400 people and DO NOT sell tickets at the door. So please if you are still considering going call this week and secure your tickets.

Hopefully this is not the last update on the bluefin fishing down in Morehead, NC but Capt. Mark DeBlasio and Tom Kelly are back down there after only fishing a day and a half between December 21 and January 6 as the fishing had slowed a little and we were doing the NY Boat Show. Basil Pappas from BHP tackle rode along yesterday and it did not take long to start out 2008 and way we finished 2007. At 6:30am they were hooked up on a planner bait and by 7am the 83" Giant was in the boat. It was there only bit of the the day.

Today, they were hooked up by 7am with a double header and by 8:15 both fish were on the deck. One fish measured 80" and the other 86". They will stick it out until nightfall hoping for our first triple of the season but nevertheless are thrilled that our lucky streak has continued into the New Year.

You may want to consider renaming your boat FLEET SPANKER. My hat's off to Mark and Tom.

I had an incredible time on the Canyon Runner; my thanks to Capt. Mark DeBlasio, mate Tom Kelly, and Adam LaRosa for running a great operation. This was my first time fishing on the re-powered 48 Viking and I was very impressed with the boat and of course the crew. Hooking 3 giants was also a plus! Outstanding work by the CR Team.

Thanks Basil - can't wait to sit in on your breakout session next week at our Seminar.

You should definately spend a little more time on how the guys are utilizing Spectra with there Giant fishing before getting into jigging tuna leveraging the benefits of Spectra. I know I've had a ton of requests for more time on big bluefin fishing and this is one place we can add to that discussion.
