Canyon Runner 60' Ritchie - 13 for 15 On White Marlin

Just a quick post and I'll fill in details later. The white bite went off a little further north yesterday. I was running the 60' Ritchie Howell as my billfish crew was in town to practice for the tournament with our charter since we don't fish strictly for billfish very often. We had a lot of practice Saturday afternoon.

With Adam LaRosa on wheel - Brad Burgess, Mike Zajac, John Timken, Chris Hempstead and Damien Romeo (our MA 500 annual charter/teammate for the past 4 years) put together a nice day white marlin fishing in the cockpit.

In 8 hours of trolling we saw 17 marlin, baited 15 and release 13. We caught 10 of them in 1.5 hours. One of the 13 was a sailfish and we missed a blue that tried to eat the squid chain from the rigger while we were fighting a double.

Got some pictures including the one of the sailfish. Hope you like them. By the way I forgot to mention that in the middle of the marlin bites we caught 12 yellowfin in the 50-70 pound class. All but 4 of them were caught on the light white marlin tackle so they took a little longer to get to the boat - we kept 8 of them and tagged the others.
