Sit down Shut up And fish
Canyon Report 7/8/07
With both me and my father being a little too busy to prepare for a canyon trip this weekend we thought we weren't going to be out there this weekend. Until Scott the owner of a beautiful brand new 58 Carolina boat(I believe a Ritchie Howell) at out marina named C-Jam invited us out. We left the Marina at 4:00 am and headed to the Baltimore, We went 6-8 on Yellow fin and missed a white. The best hook up occured when a 65 pound yellow fin piled on a penn graphite 30. We had a first time angler on the rod and he did a pretty good job with the fight lasting close to 40 minutes. Scott had to be home by 4:00, so the ride in was 37 knots, at only 80 percent load. Scott said with some prop tweeking she will see 40 at 80 percent. I was in awww with this boat, it's a freakin rocket ship and has everything you would ever want on board including misters in the cockpit for those hot days. If by chance Scott, Captain Mike, or Pete are lurkers on SFC thanks again. Everyone look out for C-Jam and crew on the tourny trail this season. They will be fishing the Builders Choice tourny this weekend in Carolina, the Mid Atlantic, Ocean City Over Night tourny, and the White Marlin open. Its a a hell of a boat with a crew full of nice guys. Sorry no pictures this time, forgot the camera.
