    Cancun Charters

Going to cancun with the family and would like to get a day of fishing in. Going feb 17-24. Hear there is some good bottom fishing, I know sailfishing is great. Is there any local boats to go on to keep the cost down? that are worth while. Thanks

In Feb. no disrespect to advertiser down in P.A. you should find better offshore action a little further north. I always see Aqua World boats off Isla.

and this link is between P.A. and Cancun out of Puerto Morales

I have no clue if they are quality bottom boats, but Aqua World seems to get the job done on the offshore grounds.

John, I'll forward some info to you. Our mate Reuben Pena does Inshore/Offshore and Snorkling trips out of Isla but he might be able to help you out as well while you're down there. He's awesome and soooo entertaining as well as knowledgeable on everything local (he's from Isla).

It would probably be worth your while to take a cab from cancun and the ferry to ISLA and fish out of there vs running down there in a boat...

    John,
I have fished in April/May with Captain Ricks charter many times. http://www.fishyucatan.com/ If you are actually staying in Cancun, it maybe too far to ride (about an hour), but I have always had a good time with them. They are located in Puerto Aventuras, which seems to be the same location as Wasabi-Loco.
