Can you use Striper gear for Tuna.......?

I was thinking about this, wondering if it would work. What Im thinking about is a Daisy Chain that I used for striper's, it's 3 green parachute's with a big shade following it, I was thinking about cutting off the shade and putting a sea witch bally combo following it.....

Do you guys think this would work...

It's amazing what you can pull behind a boat and raise fish. I've seen daisy chains of whiffle balls, coffee cans, etc all raise fish, just don't tell anyone it might hurt Ilander sales

Hmmm. I brought an 80 pound bluefin up a few years ago from 300ft on a cod jig and my jigmaster 500. Talk about surprised! I figured I had a halibut on the line. We've also taken stripers while trolling for tuna on squid bars. So, why not the other way?

A couple year s ago GlennW and I planned a day of bluefin fishing, only to have the season closed the day before. So as to not give the kids a bad example, we put out a spread of mojos with tomic trailers off the 3-way looking for some blues off VB. Glenn's son caught a nice bluefin, anyway, on a green/yellow tomic behind a mojo on a striper rod with a 330 gti. Tunas will eat anything, give it a try.

I ran out of hoos one time and caught Tuna on black and white nine inch sassy shads. Although that day I believe they would have hit a beer can.
