Can U say big dolphin!

The story on this dolphin is that it was caught off of Jacksonville by a Port Canaveral based tug traveling to South Carolina last week and trolling a line @ 9 kts.. These guys estimated it to be in the 100# range and didn't have the ice/capacity to keep it cold till they got to S.C., so they had to cut it up!!!! Little did they know that it was potentially the WORLD RECORD!!! It's nice to know that there's dolphin this size roaming our waters.

That is a MAHI-MUFFIN for sure! HOLY SMOKES! I am glad to hear they didn't let it go bad just to weigh it. Biggest MAHI I have ever seen...don't think it weighs 100 pounds though. Should I duck for typing that?

I have to agree, that is a friggin monster. Definitely the biggest i have seen, but not a hundred pounds. Maybe around 75 to 80.

Shoulda held onto the carcass to make an accurate mount... As you guys said, awesomely huge dolphin, but 100 lbs may be far fetched, but who knows!? No one...thats who
