Its the truth! everyone wants to be Capt and they seem to be more worried about getting their columbia shirts and jackets embroidered with Capt Ramrod than actually going out and catching fish. I think most have really lost sightof what it means to be a real fisherman!

waterman, You can come fishing with me whenever you come around OCNJ. So now anyone who gets a cap license is just a goofball with no skills? Come on you guys..... half of you on this site are just sour to anyone else getting a license and breaking into the biz. Get a grip.

I can fish, I have fished my whole life, I produce more than most offshore, and my inshore spots have been producing since i was 12 year old.

Seriously I am laughing at how negative most of you guys are. I won't bother asking anymore questions. I am a longtime user of this site, and I really do see how newer guys are just driven out. Some of you are straight up A-holes on here. Nowhere in the post regards my fishing skills and putting people on the fish. You don't know me, and trust me you don't know anything about my fishing skills or habits, because I wouldn't know you from the guy making the coffee at wawa. Maybe you are a great fisherman waterman...but then again maybe you suck at it....but I would not say either way because I don't know, just as you know nothing about me. E19 Blue Water Marina, come on any trip, I will even let you wash the boat.

Yes I have a License, yes I have a boat, yes I got insurance, Yes i have fishing spots, Yes i have gear, Yes I know how to catch fish, as well as blow up balloons for 10 year olds. I can do anything any of you so called "charter Captains" on here can do. Watch out now, might steal a few charters from some of you this year....... Buncha Haters! I should put some of you up for the annual playa haters ball this year, Damn!

Your right you may be a great fisherman but i dont know! Im just stating the Majority of so called charter capt in the northeast do it to offset the costs of owning a boat! There are alot of guys that have normal jobs that they work 9-5 mon-fri and hr or two inland then switch to the charter hat on the weekends after a week of not being on the water! I say go for it who knows you may like it! And thanks for the invite but once you spend more time on the water than you want you look forward to other things like golf or hunting!

Hey Boss you got to chill out. Other than the DB Rich most people have been pretty cool on this thread. There's a ton of stuff in your post people could be dumping on you about but its been pretty civil. I'm sorry but the fact is that most charter boat "captains" are exactly what that guy said. Quite frankly there aren't more than 5 guys that are worth spending a dime on between Cape May and OC. I wish you well with the business but unless you're fishing 100 days a year I'm not interested in you giving me a boat ride around the back bays.

BlueH20boss. If you get the opportunity, talk to the 2 guys I know do well in OC back Bay. Norm on the Viking docked down arounf 6th and the bay. His cards are always in the bait and tackle shop on Bay Ave at 6th. and Iowa Fortune- Brian DeLeo who keeps a boat on Longport Blvd. He owns that little marina just past Seaview. They both seem to be booked regularly. I see Norm out all the time. Brian does a lot of night fishing back in the creeks for stripers.

Teddy, and Eppe , Thanks for the responses. I know, i do need to chill out about it, and I have since my last post where i pretty much laid out how I felt. I do appreciate what you guys have all said, and the advice that was given.

Waterman, totally no hard feelings anywhere bro, and you are right about the majority of guys and the capt. surname..... I don't even use it.

I have drawn a lot of information that has already helped me, and I just wanted to let everyone know I thank them for the input.

Eppe, Thanks for the chance to hook up with your back bay guys. Like Teddy said, I am not fishing 100 days per year so that gives the True Professionals the edge, but I am going to try my best.

    Thanks again to all.
