Cajun Canyon Billfish Classic News Release

NEWSFLASH: We are trying to be the accommodating and friendly tournament here in the Gulf of Mexico. With this in mind, we have decided to let boats leave from any port on Thursday, May 29 at 4pm. Boats not departing from Venice MUST video their departure with a time and date stamp video camera (easiest way to do this is to video the dock boys waving to you then turn around and shoot your GPS screen showing time and location). Boats must also check in with Tournament Headquarters for a video identifier on Thursday afternoon. Also, our Wednesday, May 28 Captain’s Meeting is non-mandatory. We will be publishing both Billfish Score Cards and Tournament Information Sheets on our website (www.comefishLa.com) for all tournament participants to download. It’s not too late to enter, but Wednesday at 7pm is our registration deadline. If you would like to overnight (Federal Express, UPS, or DHL ONLY) a certified or cashier’s check, please use the following address:

    It's a fun tourney

All the crawfish and raw oysters you can eat. They did the same thing last year about leaving from other places. Venice is still the best bet. Closer to just about everywhere you would run.

I dunno how it went, but last I heard only 4 boats had registered. How many ended up being there?
