Buoy Cameras?

NDBC released the numbers of hits both the 44066 and 44025 buoys generated in August and September:

It is clear that our buoys are very important to our community.
I was thinking that how cool would it be to have cameras mounted on one of more of these buoys. Imagine being able to see all types of sea conditions right on your computer?

I ask if there is anyone out there technically capable of thinking this through and how it might be done. The second and more important question is who out there might be willing to fund this? NOAA is not going to pay for this.

What a great PR coup for that boat, engine, paint or instrument manufacturer.

Just throwing this out to the readers for feedback and possible adding to the capability of these instruments.
